Store Information
Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Stores is a long-established Japanese department store that boasts Daimaru, founded 300 years ago, and Matsuzakaya, founded 400 years ago. It offers a wide range of luxury items, cosmetics, and sweets that are popular among overseas tourists. In the Osaka area, there are "Daimaru Shinsaibashi" and "Daimaru Umeda."
"Daimaru Shinsaibashi" is located in Shinsaibashi, one of Japan's premier shopping districts, and is a landmark in Minami, featuring over 360 stores with various attractions. The main building, rebuilt and reopened in September 2019, showcases Art Deco architecture. Additionally, the South Building, which has reopened, gathers popular cosmetic brands and is staffed with multilingual personnel to assist international customers.
"Daimaru Umeda" opened in 1983 and underwent a major renovation in 2011 in conjunction with the improvement and reconstruction of JR Osaka Station. It offers a wide range of products from fashion trends to luxury brands and provides famous sweets and delicatessens in the underground mall. The 13th floor features Nintendo OSAKA and the Pokémon Center.
Daimaru also operates stores in Kyoto, Kobe, Tokyo, Sapporo, and Shimonoseki, while Matsuzakaya has stores in Nagoya, Ueno, and Shizuoka across Japan. For foreign customers within six months of entering Japan, a "5% Off Special Shopping Coupon" is available (some brands are excluded).
