I don’t like raw oysters. Do you? Try this recipe, you will become a big fan of them especially if you like smoked oysters. It is much easier to make than you think. This very simple recipe can be used for prawns and scallops as well.

Makes

4 Servings

Ingredients

Oysters enough for 4 servings

Salt & Pepper

Plain Flour

Egg

Panko Bread Crumbs

Oil for deep frying

*you can choose your favorite seasonings and ingredients above.

Method

1. Remove Oysters from the shell and wash in salty water. Pat dry with paper towel.

2. Place them on a dish and give Salt and Pepper.

3. Coat with Flour, Egg, then Panko.

4. Heat oil to 180℃ and deep fry until golden. It won’t take long for oysters to cook, so the oil needs to be hot to let cook quickly.

5. Serve with Tar Tar Sauce or Japanese Tonkatsu Sauce.

The step1 is so important above method. If you don’t pat dry paper towel accurately, oil spits all over the cooker when you deep fry it. And the texture wouldn’t be crispy….
