Have you heard of Gindaco? or Takoyaki?
Takoyaki is a Japanese traditional food that is really famous all over the world, sometimes called the “octopus ball”.
When it comes to takoyaki, about 70% of the locals here in Japan go to GINDACO!
The picture below is a GINDACO restaurant that is located near Kamata station, south of Tokyo.
Here is the cooking station, which you could actually see how they are preparing them.
As you can see from the picture, all they use is just two ice pick-like instruments, but they roll the balls really fast I can’t even see what’s going on!
And it looks like it’s done!!
But hold on a minute.
What makes Gindaco special, is their huge variety of toppings to go with the takoyaki.
Take a look at the menu board.
They have ordinary takoyaki with worcestershire sauce, cheese & mentaiko(spicy cod rows), Teriyaki Egg & Mayo, and Green Onion.
These are also very popular as a take-home snack.
Look at the people queueing in front of the counter!
Even though its main food is takoyaki, there are a lot of other menus that you can order like fried chicken wings, desserts, yakisoba, grilled squid, and many others.
This is the dining space, where customers could also drink beverage and spend some time after work.
I ordered Teriyaki Egg & Mayo, and Cheese & Mentaiko.
Looks awesome, and taste even better!
Don’t forget to stop by GINDACO when you see one! :)
