The food corner of JR Kyoto Isetan at basement floor was expanded and re-opened on 5th December 2018 (Wednesday). The new food corner is designed with the concept of "Culture Foodie", the concept which emphasize on the Kyoto sense and pursue the precious value of various products and allows customer to enjoy the beauty of Japanese culture through food. Experiential eat-in "TASHINAMI"

The products at food corner floor of remodeled JR Kyoto Isetan are as variegated as you might feel your head spinning when looking at it. To those who are worried and not sure what to buy, experiential eat-in "TASHINAMI" is recommended for you! The corner is divided to "TASHINAMI of confectionery" and "TASHINAMI of sake". Both corners has their menu change frequently.
"TASHINAMI of confectionery" provides the fine and yet delicious Japanese confectionery and also cute Japanese confectionery. Besides, you can also enjoy your Mariage with a Japanese tea, coffee, tea and other drinks.
While for "TASHINAMI of sake", you can enjoy the seasonal alcohol, as well as food and drinks of well-known traditional restaurant and hotel which centered in Kyoto. If you wish to taste the food and drinks of the restaurant which you will not go usually, this is the most recommended place for you. You can also buy sake directly in the corner beside. Unlike usual Warabimochi, it looks like jelly with fashionable feeling.
You can find this super cute cotton candy. There are many flavor such as Sakura rice cakes and black honey yellow soybean flour. Even I am not usually eat cotton candy, I has also felt in love with this.
The youkan is as sweet as a cake. Also, it is so cute! Mitarashi butter sandwich is also look interesting.

7 brands of "world value" unique product in Kyoto
"La Sablésienne" is a branded store from France and set up their first overseas shop at here with the super cute package with France feeling! The fermented butter which is made with traditional French recipes is using 100% original fermented butter and without any preservatives and coloring, with the great butter smell.
