I often visit fisherman villages. I just simply like the atmosphere and people living there.

I been asked many times if there is any accommodation in fisherman village. The answer is yes, there is. Moreover, there is accommodation with a lot fun. There are many guest house in fisherman village.

Today, I would like to introduce a guest house which opened recently by fisherman, who can speak English.

Asoura, a photogenic place

It is approximately one hour plus from Ise Jingu Shrine which I had introduced in previous article.

A fisherman village that appears at a winding road when you viewing the beautiful Ria Coast.

I arrived here in the south Ise city of Asoura. The population of this fisherman village is as small as only less than 1,000 people.

You may notice this when you are hanging around the narrow street of this fisherman village.

There are so many colorful traditional private houses.

The usage of concrete at the fisherman village from Shima area to Southern Ise is so impressive.

It creates an unbelievable space which makes you feel nostalgic while at the same time you will feel like you are in a foreign country.

I pressed the camera shutter unconsciously.

A place where human can behave like a human.

After walked around, I came to the guest house, Marukinmaru.

I just have to enjoy making a hammock or having BBQ.

Also, working with Mac. He enjoying his life in this fisherman village. He grew up in Kanagawa prefecture and graduated from Waseda University. After graduated, he has chosen to become a fisherman in South Ise. He mentioned that he had doubts during his school days.

He has been thinking, "Who are producing all the fishes at supermarkets?" Seems like he is originally interested in fishery and agriculture, and later he has his internship program done in Southern Ise. "We are actually eating the living thing", the words he left after the internship.

I feel like there is a big different for living with this understanding and without the understanding of this fact.

Besides, you can also experience to grill the salt sea bream at the guest house as well.

It looks like really delicious!

I also finished it in a bite. First time I ate such a juicy sea bream! I was really surprised with the juiciness.

By the way, she came from "Kitayama village", an enclave village of Wakayama prefecture which is located in Mie prefecture.

She is also a migrant from Kanto area.

Jabara juice is the most recommended specialty product in Kitayama village.

Accordingly to her, this is just like "Aquarius of Kitayama village".

We purchased the clam which is famous in Southern Ise from a seafood shop which is managed by a fisherman.

And we prepare sashimi and BBQ ourselves.

Fisherman village is so fun and even impressed those foreigners!

The owner, Mr. Jun Hashimoto is a fisherman who was born and grew up Asoura. He has been traveling around the world when he was young.

After he came back to his house in Asoura, he found out that the city was depopulating.

At there, I joined the fishery experience program which can be enjoyed by children and adult too.

We experienced the fishery, fish gutting and cleaning, making dried seafood, grilling sea bream, and playing at seashore. All the activities are so fun for me.

Even the existence of this place is just spread in forum, there are quite a lot of customer from overseas.

Mr. Hashimoto: First of all, we would like to let people know about this place and have fun here. Then, they will get interested and come again. From there, more people will be connected through this place and increase eventually.

It’s just like the sample which given on "how to create related population" in regional revitalization.

However, please put such a difficult theory aside.

It was just simple and fun for me, which cause me feel like want to come back again.

The fun which you can only find at here.

Mr. Hashimoto: It's also fun to watch the sea breams from the underwater.

Even adults sometimes want to play innocently.

And if the adult was playing seriously, the child who accompany beside will be happy and smile more.
