Time-Saving Recipe Series ~Okonomiyaki~ in Video!!

Okonomiyaki is the soul food for Japanese. Mix and grill, it is very easy. You can add in whatever ingredients you like. 

Ingredients for Okonomiyaki

  • Soft wheat-flour, 100g
  • Egg, 1
  • Stock granules, 3 teaspoons
  • Lukewarm water, 120ml
  • Cabbage, 150g
  • Bits of friend tempura batter, 15g
  • Red ginger, Moderate
  • Salad oil, Moderate 
  • You can add seafood mix or fish stick too.

How to make Okonomiyaki 

  1. Add wheat-flour, egg, lukewarm water with stock granules into a bowl and mix lightly.
  2. Add in cabbage, bits of fried tempura batter, red ginger, and other ingredients. Mix well.
  3. Heat the oil in frypan with middle flame, then add 2, and grill for 3 minutes.
  4. Turn the okonomiyaki, then add 1 tablespoons of water, cover it and steam for about 5 minutes.
  5. Remove the cover, turn the okonomiyaki again and grill for 2 minutes.
  6. Serve on plate, top with sauce, mayonnaise, seaweed, and dried bonito. It’s ready!
