For food, there are a wide variety of sandwiches and onigiri (Japanese rice ball). As you can see in the picture above, the sandwich is just 280 yen and the latte is just 130 yen.

If you visit different convenience stores, you can get different kinds of coffee. For Family Mart, they offer flavorings for free! Usually they are self-served. If you want to have a cup of coffee, you go to the cashier and tell the staff, they will give an empty cup, then you can fill up the coffee by yourself at the machine.

Getting your lunch from convenience store is not a bad choice as well. There are plenty of choices, such as pasta, soba, noodles, and salad. You can find your perfect combination and have a decent lunch! They even have fried chicken! In the picture above, I bought soba with sushi (480 yen), green smoothie (178 yen) and fried chicken (216 yen). Unlike restaurant, you can have different kinds of food at a time!

Afternoon Tea:

And don’t forget about the afternoon tea. It might not be that gorgeous, but you can get your desirable desserts and drinks at convenience stores to fulfill that little break in your journey or work. For desserts, there are cakes, donuts, puddings, puffs, and even Japanese traditional desserts. In the picture above, I bought malt coffee flavored soy milk (90 yen) and custard cream puff (140 yen). With only 230 yen, you can have a delightful short break!
