If you like to take photography you should visit here at least once. Photogenic city, Ise

This is the region in Japan that is not well known by many yet. It is such a beautiful place for me. And Mie prefecture where I am living is beautiful as well. This time, I went on a journey to travel around at Ise (伊勢) and Southern Ise (南伊勢) on a two days one-night trip to collect information for a website which called Food of Mie Prefecture. The theme is “In Pursuit of The Wellspring of Japanese Beauty”. There is a word which I often heard for several years, that is “photogenic”. Therefore, this time I will try to gather the photogenic Ise, Southern Ise through my Information collection process.

The journey starts from drinking the hot chocolate.

Photographer: What is your name?

IRENE: My name is Irene.

Photographer: Your name is too long. I think I have to pick a nickname for you. Erm, Ire chan!

IRENE: Ire-chan (haha)

Photographer: Ire Yan!

Me: (haha) Suddenly my name become like a name of a uncle at my neighborhood. In fact, it's not getting any shorter!

The photographer is trying to make fun. It seems like it will be a nice journey.

Ise Shrine Outer Shrine

Arrived at Outer Shrine.

Ise Shrine Outer Shrine

Autumn, the season with the soft sunshine.

It is so comfortable with the clear sky and refreshing air.

I feel like being cleansed even I am just walking around at the surrounding.

Kawasaki secondhand book shop Poran

Walking towards to Kawasaki Street where we get to view the storehouse.

It’s so fun to talk with the old man at second hand book store.

Kawasaki Mona Lisa

Satonaka Cookie.

Sasasasasasasasasasa Naka.

Naka is inside ten Sa. (which can be read as Sa-to-Naka)

"My concept is fine & crazy, and I hope not to imitate the concept of the city. "

During the interview, the creator who designed Satonaka cookie said that to us.

Well, Creative soul rooted in Ise.

Southern Ise

Southern Ise, Asoura (阿曽浦).

We met a fisherman.
A big smile on the black sunburned face.

Southern Ise, Asoura Guest House Umibozu (ゲストハウス海ぼうず)

Our accommodation tonight will be in guest house which was a former primary school.

Together with the fisherman, we made the salt pot,

We baked the scallop.
Seafood, the gift from the sea.
A delicious meal in an extraordinary night.
With the inexhaustible talk.

Fisherman: My life is like ria coast.

The night grow late when we were talking happily with all the nomadic words.

Southern Ise Okaura
A tin house in colorful fishing village.
It is a fishing village without any polluted sound, without any advertisement or signboards.
I think such a simple fishing village is photogenic for me.

Tenku no Post (Ise)

Ise Shima Skyline Observatory

We stopped by at Tenku no Post on our way going back.
This journey has rejuvenate my body and mind even it has cleared my mind on issues which has been bothering me for some time.
It's simple, but a memorable trip for me.
For those who living in that area, it may be a place or landscape that is nothing for them.
However, a place with people living in, for sure there is something beautiful at that place.

Life is journey.

A trip with delicious meal. A trip which will be suitable for you.
