"Previously, I came across with a lot of figure when I visited Paris to look for some accessory parts. Immediately I got crazy and fall in love to the adorable figures. "
At the same time, I feel that I’m energized when I am looking at these figures. Hence, I wish to adopt that power into my own accessories.
"Don’t you feel that the animal figures are so cute that we will feel happy by only looking at it? So, if we could make it into the accessories, we can touch and feel it whenever we want. This is the attractiveness of animal figure accessories."
Ms. Tsuji mentioned that many products here are handmade, which are rarely produced by the famous brand manufacturer.
"Frou Frou de Sucre is mainly focus on producing the accessories with the handmade feeling. Even though Japan is flooded with a lot of accessories, however we still receiving support from the customers who prefer to own the special and warm accessories which cannot be found at the major brand. "
Some Frou Frou de Sucre characteristic will also be added when we are making the common products.
That is the working style of Ms. Tsuji. Therefore, all the accessories in this shop are all unique. It may cause by the factor of Ms. Tsuji’s lifestyle as she mentioned that, "I do not want to live in this society just like others".
"When I was in kindergarten, I was a student who always bringing a lot trouble to my teacher. I will purposely refuse to do it when I was requested to do something. I think since then I was already having the behavior which cannot be bound by any rules. "
It was so suffered for Ms. Tsuji to live with the society rules, and this behavior never changed even after she grown up.
"When I finished my study, I got a job at a trading company as a sales position. Throughout my tenure, I was wearing a fluffy knit to office and been scolded by my boss. Every time when I was scolded or blamed, I could feel that I myself is different with the others in this society. "
Hence, Ms. Tsuji suffered quite a fair bit as she was not allowed to do whatever she wishes to. After that, she was changed to a beauty-related company. This has given her the opportunity by making handmade accessories as her own hobby to her colleague. Everyone was interested and wanted to buy from her.
"After the business was spreads out by her colleague of the company, she noticed that the sales of accessories had reached nearly 200,000 yen a month. Hence, she has decided to be independent from her company and started the business of accessories.
Ms. Tsuji was 38 years old when she started her business. It can be said is a good decision for her. Although she has supplied some accessories to major apparel brands, she was still suffering from the low sales during that time. However, she was really happy to be able to live by doing what she wanted to, instead of suffering from the inhibition. At a period when Ms. Tsuji started to make the accessories which used Wa(Japanese) as motif, the business was getting better, and the company has reached nearly 20 years history now. However, Ms. Tsuji’s passion still growing strong until now.
"Accessories are not a necessity for one to live, therefore my vision is to make the accessories which could make one happy when wearing it. Beside to make people happy, I wish the accessories I made could be “the only one” which as special as you have never see it at any other place. This is my "identity", at the same time the charm of Frou Frou de Sucre.
