Flower Filled Fun at Sanuki National Mannou Park

Sanuki National Mannou Park is located in Mannou City of Kagawa prefecture, roughly an hour away from Takamatsu City.
It is easily accessible by car, but a shuttle bus is available from JR Kotohira station.
This 350 hectare park has been open since 1998 and goes by the theme of “Interaction with Nature and the Universe”.
It’s no wonder that there are SO MANY FLOWERS EVERYWHERE!
Even the park’s mascot, Doramu, is an adorable dragon made of flowers.

The blooming flowers change according to season.
Daffodil and tulips during spring, and a there is also a special hanami square for sakura viewing.
In summer there are cosmos and hydrangeas.
You would think that there are no flowers here during autumn, but you’d have to think again!
The changing colors of the surrounding trees and flowers during that time is sure to put your mind at ease.

This park is a great destination for picnics, or just a great day with family and friends outdoors.
It’s also common to see people casually taking a nap on the vast green grass that seem to stretch for miles and miles. Children, on the other hand are in for a real treat because there are jungle gyms, and big red balls that the park supply, just so the visitors can chase it and run around!

Small food stalls selling french fries and ice cream are also located around the park, just in case you forgot to pack a bento along with you.
Visitors can also rent a bicycle and go around the designated track.
The park also features a lake and a waterfall as well!
Splash around and have fun getting a little wet.

As the park is very popular, there are various events held.
Be sure to check out the website first before you go!
Entrance fee for adults are 410 Yen, and 80 Yen for children.
The park is open from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm except for Tuesdays, and the operating hours may differ according to season.

So grab your sun hats, picnic baskets and mats and have some flower filled fun at Sanuki National Mannou Park, because it’s time to get up close and personal with Mother Nature herself.
