Jindai Botanical Garden is a huge garden located in Chôfu, suburban Tokyo.

With hundreds of plants, trees, and flowers, it’s a very enjoyable spot to have a walk after visiting the famous Jindaiji temple which is located just behind the garden.
Jindai Botanical Garden has been build on a land which was a medieval fortress.
The area is full of natural water sources, hence why it’s easy to grow plants.
There are more than 100,000 trees and other plants in this garden which is Tokyo’s biggest botanical garden.
The garden is divided into many areas.
The areas are organised around one plant or tree with many varieties of the same specie.
For example, the plum tree garden or the bamboo garden are hosting dozens of varieties.
There are many flowers as well!
In the middle of the park, there’s a huge space where children can play, also a kiosk to buy food like curry rice, drinks or ice-creams.
You can also buy plants, or enjoy watching a flower growing contests.
Since Jindai Botanical Garden is very big, it’ll be better to reserve one hour or more to have the time to slowly enjoy your visit.
