What do you have in your bag? Do you know what Japanese career women have in their business bag? This time we'll check the business bag of a 30's Editor who works in Tokyo. She shows us how and when she uses these items!
Can't go out without these “3 must have goods”
Ms.K says, “IC card, wallet, and smartphone are my must have goods.” Especially, IC card (downside of pic) is very convenient cuz it can work as electronic money and commuter ticket. You can use this card at taxi, convenience stores, station stalls and drugstores. She changes her wallet every New Year’s Day.
Working During Commuting “Business Goods”
Ms.K takes 1h 40min to get to work, and she says that the inside of train is also her office. When she goes to work, she checks manuscripts, and when she goes back home, this is the time to study Chinese especially focus on reading & listening. She seldom sleeps during commuting cuz she doesn’t wanna waste her commuting time.
Japanese Office Worker Always Care Themselves! “Health and Beauty Goods”
Ms.K says, “I can’t be relieved without this items in my bag.” Can you guess what this item is? Answer is one-time use mask (right side of pic). People use one-time use mask daily in Japan. In spring, she uses it for hay fever, preventing from catching a cold in winter, and hiding her face when she didn't have time to make up, so she uses it sometimes in summer, too. Also, deodorant wipes (left side of pic) in summer and chap stick in dry winter are the essentials.
Are Japanese Always Calm? “Goods for Just in Case”
These are the items that we wanna ask “Do you really need it?” From right, reusable bag, headache medicine, and one-time use contact lenses. She uses a reusable bag to put a camera or documents in it when she goes to coverage. Also, she always brings headache medicine and contact lenses for just in case “When I gets headache”, “When I drop contact lenses”.

How was it? She brings many items. Health and beauty goods, study items which allows her to use her long commuting time effectively, and so on. Looks like she spends fulling days!
