Ookini (おおきに) Fun!JapanWords-OSAKA

Hello, Yakotan is here!

Do you guys know how to say “Thank you” in Japanese?

In Japanese, we use “arigatou” (ありがとう) to say thank you.

I believe many of you know the meaning of “arigatou”.

By the way, do you know how to say thank you in Osaka?

We use “ookini” (おおきに) to say thank you in Osaka.
Of course, we can also use “arigatou” in Osaka.
However, “ookini” sounds more frank and friendly.

Similar to “thanks” in English, the conversation will get smoother if we say “ookini” in the end of the conversation.

If you eat in a restaurant in Osaka, the restaurant will say “ookini” to you as gratitude when you leave the restaurant.

If you visit Osaka, please use “ookini” to say thanks to Osaka people.
It can make you closer to them.

Ookini!! for always checking our articles.
