So, are you hungry for Sushi? Mentai or 明太 is Walleye Pollack, thereby Sushi Mentai is the restaurant name! Sushi Mentai is the answer to your crave! Only at RM1.80 and RM2.80, the Sushi listed on the menu are of great variety. Well, two colors of plate are yellow and red which differentiate RM1.80 with RM2.80 Sushi respectively. The RM2.80 ones are made up of more exotic Sushi ingredients, mainly seafood.
Like the usual way, just sit down, order your drink, and then take the Sushi from the conveyor belt.
You can also order items not on conveyor belt from the menu too. The service crews are very warm too, “いらっしゃいませ” or Irasshaimase which means welcome shouted from their mouth to greet us as we push the door handle is heard. The foods are tasty and well presented. I especially love their specialty sauce garnished on the Sushi topping. I think it is made from Thousand Islands and seasoning flakes, which add creaminess to texture and taste of Sushi. Finger-licking tasty!
I love Inari Sushi too. They have the ones with sauce and without sauce too.
Watching these Sushi moving past us, so colorful and tempting. You would feel so lucky that there are also other dishes in the menu book. Salads , Sashimi, Special rolls, Yakimono, Agemono, Menmono and Donmono , all at reasonable prices.
Here is the Mentaiko Sushi, the roes of the Mentai fish? Well, they are slightly bigger than the shrimp roes and taste as good as the shrimp roes. Don’t forget to order the Takoyaki, which is inside the RM1.80 menu too. Don’t like Sushi?... How about Chicken Teriyaki Don?... It is very cheap. Or Salmon Teriyaki Don? It is cheap too. Like curry?... The Deep-fried prawn curry rice is served with potato and carrot at a low price!
