Get ready for the Tokyo Ramen Show!

Ramen is well-known for its popularities overseas especially during the “Ramen Boom” in the recent years through out the world. Tokyo is famous for the varieties of ramen shops from different area and styles from all over Japan as we can see different “Ramen War Zones” located in Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, Shibuya…etc. Even though Tokyo has easy access to different kind of ramen shops, there are still local ramen shops that are located outside Tokyo and are hard to reach as a tourist. In order to promote local ramens from different areas or regions in Japan, the Tokyo Ramen Show is held every year.

Located in Komazawa Olympic Park, the show showcases more than 35 ramen shops from different parts of the country, north from Hokkaido and south to Kyushu. The show will be held from October 27th to November 6th this year and there will be two groups of shops. The first group will start from October 27th to November 1st and the second group will start from November 2nd to November 6th. Each group has a different lineup of ramen shops so feel free to go couple times and try out different ramen!
There is no entrance fee so you can first check out which kind ramen you want before paying. The show is operating through ticket system, each ticket costs 850 yen and one bowl of ramen costs 1 ticket.

In Japan, mascot is very popular and Tokyo Ramen Show’s official mascot is called Naruto-chan- meaning Japanese fish cake with red spiral patterns.
