We have all seen cappuccino art on TV and pictures, but how many of us have tried making it before? If you have not, head over to Caffera di Italia in Daimaru of Shinsaibashi, Osaka!

Caffera di Italia is an elegant cafe tucked in a corner of the second floor of Daimaru. Its specialty is the cappuccino art, but it also serves light meals on the side. I went to Caffera di Italia especially to try their famed and undoubtedly adorable looking cups of cappuccino.

After notifying the waiter of your choice, it is possible for you to select what design you would like on it. Some of the design choices include: rabbit, cat, puppy, heart, boy, and fern leaf. I chose the cat design and then paired my drink with a light dessert of banana and caramel crepe.

Upon arrival, I could not stop squealing and taking pictures of my drink! It was so adorable. The cat design was drawn to perfection, and I enjoyed how the barista even made the cat paws slightly 3D! The crepe was also made to perfection, with the banana caramelized to just the right amount, and the cream soft and not too sweet.

After striking up a conversation with my waiter, I was told that at Caffera di Italia actually offers cappuccino art making classes! With a prior reservation, one can attend a class whereby 1500 Yen will buy you two cups of cappuccino and a small piece of cake. Do note though, that there is a minimum of 6 persons needed in the group before one can sign up for classes. Interested in cappuccino art? You now know where to go!
