Hi, Navio here.
So last week two of my friends and I went to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building (東京都庁ビル), located in Shinjuku, Nishi Shinjuku to be exact.
The closest station is Oedo Line, Tochomae Station.
Or you can simply walk from the West Exit of Shinjuku Station.
It is not that far anyway.
The skyscraper building is meant to be an office for government officials, but it is not just an extraordinary office building.
The Tocho building has its own Observatory Decks! How cool is that!
The elevator on the first floor will take you to the observatory deck that is located on the 45th floor in less than one minute!
Might want to swallow your own saliva or make a fake yawning to restore your ear condition.
You will get that funny sensation in your ears because of the height difference.
The one that some people experience in an aeroplane, when the plane do a landing.
The view was amazing. Thank God it was sunny that day.
I can see the Sky Tree below a cute shaped cloud from here.
You can also play with your friends, a game where the participants identify objects below the sky of Tokyo.
haha, sounds cool right?
It is a game that we always play when we go here,
"Can you point our school?"
"Oh there is my house!"
"Look! Look! Yoyogi Park"
Oh, and if you guys are lucky, you can see the Mount Fuji from here.
Can you spot it in this photo?
Yep, the one on the very right.
You have to pay to go the observatory deck of Tokyo Tower or Sky Tree, but not with Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.
It is totally free to enjoy this awesome view of Tokyo.
The Observatory Decks are open from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. (Last entry is 30 minutes before closing)
More info about the Decks here : http://www.metro.tokyo.jp/ENGLISH/TMG/observat.htm
There is also a cool souvenir shop located in the South Decks, called CRANK TRUNK. You might want to check it out! :)
