A mouthful of Hokkaido that sets your mouth watering – my experience of eating a LeTAO cheesecake.

When my friends visit me, I usually ask them what they’re plans are.
Some give me detailed responses like “on the first day, I’ll go to Asakusa and then head down to Kappa-bashi…” while others simply say “a few cities”.
However, a place that everyone goes to is Hokkaido!
Hokkaido is an immensely popular destination, especially for Asian tourists.
To that end, let me introduce you to something very much “Hokkaido”.

Hokkaido is well-known within Japan for its good milk, cheese and butter.
The “LeTAO cheesecake” uses these high grade dairy ingredients to produce one the finest cheesecakes you’ll taste.
The base is made of a thick cheese and cream mixture, which supports the upper layer softer cream.
The two delicately balance each other – rich and tasty, but not leaving you full with a buttery aftertaste.
Just in case you’re curious, “Le-TA-O” is “O-TA-Le” in reverse.
”O-TA-Le”, or Otaru, is a small city of Hokkaido where the cheesecake is from.
Cute naming, don’t you think!

So you ask me, where can I find these?
In principle, LeTAO is an online store so you can order their products from http://www.letao.jp/ (these will be sent by “chilled post”; domestic only).
However, they also frequently visit department stores and shopping malls and set up a stall selling their key products.
You can find their schedule at: http://www.letao.jp/saiji/.
