10th: Nikko (Tochigi)
Nikko Toshogu is one of famous power spot (spiritual place) in Japan.
It is popular for beautiful momiji (red autumn leaves) from the end of October to November


9th: Todaiji Temple (Nara)
This temple is popular. It also has long history.
You will be surprised by its scale if you visit it.
Passing a hole among pillars that support Great Buddha Hall is believed as a way to hinder a misfortune.
You can also see deer! They are quite tame, but be careful guys :)


8th: Matsushima (Miyagi)
Matsushima is one of the famous “Three Views of Japan.”
You can enjoy view of hundreds of big and small islands.
It’s highly recommended to enjoy Matsushima by ship.


7th: KamakuraKanagawa
Only 1 hour by train from Tokyo.
Not only sea and mountain, you can also visit Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine that may lead to your fortune in marriage.
And ofcourse, you can visit national treasure Kamakura Daibutsu and other shrines with long history in this city.
You can also enjoy visit to Kamakura by riding retro train Enoden.


6th: MiyajimaHiroshima
Miyajima is famous with its red wooden gate called Torii. The height is 16 meters.
When tide is high, it can reach Torii.
It is famous as biggest Japanese main (inner) shrine with long history, as noh stage
floating on the sea and many more.

5th: Snow FestivalHokkaido
Sapporo Snow Festival is a festival conducted in February.
The festival represents Japanese winter. Many domestic and foreign tourists attend the festival.
You can also see illuminated snow sculpture at night.
Even at day, the temperature is below freezing point.
So, be sure to wear thick clothes when you visit the festival guys.


4th: Yakushima (Kagoshima)
This isolated island is located in Kagoshima prefecture in southern Japan.
It is a natural heritage with 7,200 years old Jomon cedar tree and 3,000 years old Kigen cedar tree.
Hike here and witness the majesty of those old trees.
Sea turtle also live in its sky blue sea.


3rd:Center of Japan (Tokyo) 
Tokyo is Japan’s capital city. It’s big city with thousand of high rise buildings.
Memmy will introduce “oasis” in Tokyo for you who come to Japan for the first time.

Mt.TakaoTokyo
It’s very popular. On weekend, there is mount climbing traffic in this mountain.
This mountain is highly recommended to climb as you can reach the top in only 1.5 hours. And from the top, you can witness, “10 million Dollars night view” of Tokyo!


Shinjuku GyoenTokyo-Shinjuku
The park is located in the center of Tokyo and easy to access.
The park is well maintained. It combines several aspects of English, French and Japanese garden.
You can enjoy sakura in April and momiji (red autumn leaves) from November to December.

Tokyo Tocho(Tokyo-Nishi shinjuku)
You can go to observation room in its highest floor for free and see amazing Tokyo from there.
Memmy recommends you to go there at night when you can see beautiful city light coming from buildings across Tokyo.

These are temples with long history and distinct characteristics.
Chosen as cultural heritage, these 3 temples are must-visit!

Ginkaku-ji
Although gin (銀) in Japanese means silver, there is no evidence of silver used in the construction of the temple.
There is no clear origin of the temple name.
There are many reasons for the name. Economic reason and the glowing like a silver view at night are two of them.


Kiyomizu-dera
The origin of Kiyomizu-dera name is from the water flowing in Otawa waterfall in the temple.
The water is “life-prolonging purification water”.
Purity character is 清 (kiyo), while water character is 水 (mizu)


Kinkaku-ji
The characteristic of this temple is its dazzling gold color.
The temple is reflected in the pond, really beautiful!

Fireworks are held every year in 4 lakes surrounding Mt. Fuji. Enjoy vigorous firework and Mt. Fuji in the same time.

As many climb on the weekend, weekdays are better time to climb.
