Kawaguchiko Musical Forest Part 2 -The Music

Hello friends!

Remember the last time I told you about a magical place called Kawaguchiko Musical Forest and promised to tell you more?

Here I am!

Today, I will tell you about the musical instruments in the Musical Forest

The biggest attractions here are the automatic musical instruments and the musical boxes.

All the instruments have been carefully selected and imported from various European countries.
Amongst the many available, let me introduce 2 of my favourites below:

Grand French Fairground Organ
In the grand hall of one of the buildings sits a French fairground organ that takes up nearly the whole hall. Built in 1905, it is kept in great condition and still plays shows once every 30 minute.
Each of the characters in the organ is animated and will pretend to play an instrument in sync with the music.
The attention to detail on the carving and paint can be clearly seen, and it is definitely worth waiting for the show.
At the back of this organ hall, you will also find a smaller organ that you can take a closer look at.
Both the organs are located in the 1st Exhibition Hall.

Titanic Model Organ:
This organ has a rather bittersweet story behind it. Built in Germany, it was supposed to be installed on the Titanic for its maiden voyage.
Unfortunately, because it could not be built on time, a small orchestra was instead hired to provide musical entertainment to the guests.

As the story goes, the Titanic hit an iceberg while traversing the North Atlantic Ocean.
Many members of the valiant orchestra refused to abandon the ship and played their instruments up to the very last moments when they perished in the frigid waters.

Had the organ been created on time, perhaps we would not have lost the brave souls of that orchestra!
The Titanic Model organ is located in the 3rd Exhibition Hall.

These are just two of the many instruments and attractions you can find at Kawaguchiko Musical Forest.
I would tell you more but that could take a few days! It is truly a beautiful place, and I hope you have a chance to enjoy it like I did.
