Crepe is the most symbolic street food of Takeshita street in Harajuku.



You can find dozens of shops selling this very popular sweets.

Even though crepe is originally a simple French dish topped with butter or sugar, Japanese version has tons of toppings.



Each shop has very colorful pictures or plastic food samples of its different crepes.



Let’s have a look :



Banana, strawberry, custard and whipped cream are very basic stuff, but you also can have a real big piece of cheese cake, mango, chocolate cake, ice cream, almond and so on.

For sure there’s also Japanese style topping like mochi balls, anko (red bean paste), green tea, black sugar or kinako (grilled soy flour) toppings.

If you don’t have a sweet tooth, you can try versions containing cheese, ham, mayonnaise, tuna or ketchup for example.
