Ginko Tree: Why Autumn is the best season to travel Japan

en13

Internationally, traveling is pretty much synonymous to summer or New Years. And why not? It is absolutely reasonable to travel abroad when you have a long seasonal break.

However unfortunately, I have to say that a lot of people are missing out on a chance to see one of the best, most iconic scenes of Japan if you stick to this routine. That is Japan at autumn.

I personally believe that there is not a single place on earth where we could enjoy the changing seasons as much as we do in Japan. And the highlight of autumn is the red and yellow trees that color the season up!

Ginko trees are especially enjoyed during this season because of its beautiful yellow leaves. There are several roads like the one in the image where people can enjoy the changing colors of the Ginko leaves.

The city of Tokyo uses a Ginko leaf as its symbol, since it looks like the letter "T". Hence, Tokyo University uses the same sign for its school emblem, and has a long road of Ginkos leading to its gate.

If you have the chance to visit Japan during autumn, don't miss the beautiful Ginko trees!
