Milky Way is a popular café located in Ikebukuro. It is near the entrance of the street toward a landmark called Sunshine City. The cafe appeared in a scene of the famous Japanese TV drama called Mukodono.
Milky Way is located on the second floor of Fujiki building, the first building you find when you get to the street that leads to Sunshine City. The wall is covered with glass so that you can enjoy overlooking the busy street below while having a dessert if you are seated by the wall.
The café offers many kinds of foods and beverages, and their parfaits are popular among customers. Many different parfaits are available, and they are inspired by zodiac signs.
Looking at the menu and reading all the details of each parfaits is fun. Of course, you don’t have to order by the zodiac sign of yours. You can just pick up anything you like, but it can be a good idea to order the one that matches your zodiac sign and take a picture and post it in Instagram.
It looks so nice, but be careful the portions are pretty big.
This place is very popular cafe among Japanese girls who come and get the cute and sweet desserts, and put pictures of those on their Instagram. They like to come during tea time on weekends, so if you are planning to go during the same time slot, you may end up waiting for an hour. We would recommend that you go there earlier or after 5pm on weekdays so that you don’t have to wait so long queuing up.
