Start off with meeting all the winners from 4 different countries at Hotel’s lobby.
1.Wensa from Indonesia
2.Anis from Malaysia
3.Amelie from Taiwan
4.Lbert from Thailand
Although it was the first time we met, we didn’t feel awkward because everyone is so friendly and talkative.

Our first destination for today is Nanzoin Temple at Nanzoinmae Station. It takes around an hour from our hotel. This station is a bit far from the city where we can feel the nature right after we stepped out of the train.

It is 5 minutes walk to Nanzoin Temple. Walk is relaxing as there is nature, bridge and some shops along the way. Maybe because this is the first sightseeing day and everyone is so exited with everything. We stopped by almost every single spots we passed and spent longer time than we thought.

After talking so much time and taking photos around the temple area, we finally got to the giant reclining Buddha surrounded by nature.

It is very huge and I think it is hard to find this big Buddha statue in Japan. We took several pictures and head back to the station for the next destination. On the way back, we did a little rush because this station is in a rural area, the next train comes in 10 minutes and if we miss this one we had to wait about half an hour! We made it!!!

Next is Oohori park located quite close to Hakata station, so we took a train back for an hour and walk about 5 minutes to the park.

Oohori park is big with a lot of trees, big lake, and walking areas. There are also different types of water bicycles for rent. We are all so excited about it. Even if it is a weekday, there are many people in the park. This month is April, so everyone comes to see Sakura! Therefore, we walked along the path and we found the area with tons of sakura trees and food carts.
The foods look so delicious with nice smells that I almost lose my temptation to go buy. Park visitors come with blue sheet, sit under sakura tree and do Hanami.

Some cherry blossom trees were not yet full-bloomed so we tried to find the beautiful one. We found it and it was very popular among many people taking pictures.

Then, we took a train to Nakasukawabata station to see another Shrine called Kushida Shrine. It was around 7 minutes walk from the station.

After finished sightseeing Kushida Shrine, everyone went back to see the shops along the street we passed by for some shopping and out for dinner. I went for famous ramen shop called “Number One” located not so far from this station. Hakata is famous for ramen so why not make it a try, right?

Then, came back to Hakata station. As it is a big station, there are many souvenir shops. Japanese products and packaging make me want to buy everything I see. All look so interesting! It’s quite convenient because every famous product, such as ramen, strawberry, and roe in Fukuoka are gathered in one shop.
