Celebrating 20 Years of Duffy & Friends
Duffy made his debut at Tokyo Disney Resort (R) in 2005, making 2025 the 20th anniversary. At Tokyo DisneySea (R), a special event called "Duffy & Friends 20th Anniversary: Colorful Happiness" is being held from Tuesday, April 8, 2025, to Thursday, March 19, 2026.
What is Duffy & Friends?
Duffy is a teddy bear made by Minnie for Mickey. Later on, friends like ShellieMay, Gelatoni, StellaLou, CookieAnn, Olu Mel, and LinaBell joined, and together they became "Duffy & Friends," gaining popularity at places like Tokyo DisneySea (R).

We Went to Duffy & Friends 20th Anniversary "Colorful Happiness"!
On Monday, April 7, 2025, the day before the event officially began, a press preview was held at Tokyo DisneySea. We, the FUN! JAPAN editors, visited to cover the event in person. Here’s our report on what we saw, along with must-see merchandise and food.
Duffy & Friends' Colorful Happiness Journey [Entertainment]

An entertainment show is currently running in which the seven Duffy & Friends characters ride the Transit Steamer Line and circle around the waters of Tokyo DisneySea. In April and May, the show is scheduled to be held three times a day. The show schedule for the following month is released around the 8th of each month.
- Event period: Tuesday, April 8, 2025 – Thursday, March 19, 2026 *Note: The show will be on hiatus from July 1 to September 15, 2025
- Show duration: Approximately 20 minutes
Park Decorations and Photo Spots
At the entrance of Miracosta Street near the park’s entrance, a banner featuring the number "20" and all seven members of Duffy & Friends is displayed.
In Mediterranean Harbor, you’ll find photo spots set up, and we saw many people bringing their favorite plush toys to take photos together.
Cape Cod, which has deep ties to Duffy and his friends, is especially festive, decorated colorfully with rainbows and bubbles.
Decorations around Miguel's El Dorado Cantina have also been turned into photo spots.
Duffy & Friends 20th Anniversary Special Merchandise List
The 20th anniversary special merchandise features rainbows and bubbles as motifs. Items include illustrations of the seven Duffy & Friends characters, wearable items, and even bubble-themed goods.

These colorful costumes resemble a rainbow.
Plush Toy Badges – ¥2,800 each
With both a ball chain and a pin, these plush badges are perfect for taking your favorite character with you around the park or out and about.
Plush Toy Charms – ¥2,500 each, Patches – ¥500 each (Set of 20 – ¥10,000)
The plush charms come in bubble-like cases featuring the Duffy & Friends 20th anniversary logo. You can carry them along with separately sold patches.
The patches come randomly from a selection of 20 types, and there’s also a complete set of 20 available.
Plush Toy – ¥5,300, Cushion – ¥10,000
The Duffy plush looks like it’s blowing bubbles—super cute!
The colorful, bubble-themed cushion features all seven Duffy & Friends characters adorably sitting on top.
Other exclusive items include: ShellieMay shoulder bag – ¥2,600, Headband – ¥2,400, Headband Holder – ¥1,800, Fashion Glasses – ¥3,400, T-shirt – ¥4,400. Get your hands on these special items to boost the celebratory mood♪

Duffy & Friends 20th Anniversary Special Menu and Food Souvenirs
Popcorn with Baguette – ¥2,600
The popcorn baguette, which generated buzz even before sales began, is themed around colorful, rainbow-like bubbles, with the smiling faces of Duffy and his friends sparkling brightly.
Crème Brûlée-style Churro (Milk Tea) – ¥600
This churro features colors inspired by Duffy himself. One of seven different packaging designs is randomly included.
With a crispy texture and filled with a delicious milk tea-flavored filling, it was so good we wished it would become a regular menu item!
Available at Zambini Brothers' Ristorante and Tropic Al's.
Duffy Special Set (Beef) – ¥2,380 / À la carte – ¥1,350
A popular item at Miguel’s El Dorado Cantina, this hearty dish features butter rice shaped like Duffy’s face, topped with beef brown stew—satisfying both visually and in taste.
The set includes a lunch mat, and soft drinks come with a coaster (1 of 4 designs provided at random).
Other adorable options include a Duffy bun – ¥800, and banana mousse & apple peach jelly with souvenir cup – ¥1,300.
