Komatsu Airport is located in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture. The airport is conveniently located about 45 minutes from Kanazawa, one of Ishikawa Prefecture's most popular tourist destinations.

About Komatsu Airport

小松空港(komatsu airport)について

Komatsu Airport, located in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture, opened in 1961. The three-story terminal building has an arrivals lobby on the first floor, various restaurants and shops on the second floor, and an observation deck on the third floor where you can watch aircraft take off and land.

The airport is surrounded by numerous tourist attractions, and the famous "Kaga Onsen-kyo" hot spring area is also nearby, offering many day-use bath facilities and traditional hot spring inns.

Ajino Nakaishi

A specialty udon restaurant run by a long-established noodle manufacturer, where you can enjoy the famous "Komatsu Udon."

"Komatsu Udon" is a local specialty that has been loved since the Edo period. Nakaishi Seimenjo, which has been in business for over 80 years, uses underground water from the sacred Mount Hakusan and high-quality local ingredients to produce smooth and delicious noodles daily. The broth, made with dried fish flakes, kelp, and naturally brewed soy sauce, enhances the flavor of this exceptional dish.

This shop offers a wide variety of products, including domestic cosmetics, electronics, food items such as alcohol and sweets, and traditional Ishikawa crafts.

Access to Komatsu Airport

Komatsu Airport is an international airport with direct flights from China, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong (starting April 24, 2025).

It also offers convenient access from Tokyo, with frequent flights from Haneda Airport taking about one hour.

Access from Kanazawa & Komatsu to Komatsu Airport

From Kanazawa, a direct limousine bus takes about 45 minutes. The bus departs from Kanazawa Station West Exit (Bus Stop 3). From Komatsu Station, take the Hokutetsu Bus from Komatsu Station West Exit (Bus Stop 5), which takes about 12 minutes.

The Komatsu-Kanazawa route is also accessible via the Hokuriku Shinkansen (about 12 minutes) or conventional trains (IR Ishikawa Railway, about 34 minutes).
