Hunt out for dotted flowers at Matsumoto City Museum of Art
First time that I came to Matsumoto, I saw a red dotted bus at Matsumoto Station. I think what crazy dotted that I have never seen before and it was not interesting for me. I ask local people about dotted that I have seen. They said a dotted is a symbol of very famous Japanese artist and writer "Yayoi Kusama" who was born in Matsumoto City, they said it not normally dotted because this artist use dotted for create a lot of artworks. And her artworks is very popular and famous as she worked with Marc Jacobs, and Louis Vuitton, she has collaboration with Louis Vuitton like Limited edition of Yayoi Kusama collection in 2012. Louis Vuitton stores in New York and London have decorated inside and outside shop with her design. When I heard that, I had a little bit interesting about Yayoi Kusama and her dotted and how people see a dotted like an art.
So I set a plan and go to Matsumoto City Museum of Art.
From Matsumoto station, I walked along the street in front of station, and walked go straight around 15 min. Museum is in the left.
In the front of museum, I saw a big flower with strange dotted artworks of Yayoi Kusama. It was stunning and surprising. I think what scary flowers that I have seen. But after I quietly saw around, I feel it impressive and I felt a power of flowers. For another people a dotted is just a dot. Not special and not have any interesting but Yayoi Kusama use it for create artworks and design a lot of thing. It is very surprising and breathtaking for me.
Moreover, inside of museum not only exhibited a permanent collection of Yayoi Kusuma, but this museum also has a lot of local artists too. If you want to see artworks in the museum you can rest at a chair in the garden at central of museum or shopping a goods related Yayoi Kusama and other goods at the museum shop.
