Gun Napat Injaiuea (Gun), who shot to fame after showcasing his exceptional singing skills on the famous Thai audition show "The Star," has won over many fans with his looks and voice. Gun is not just a singer but also an actor and model, excelling in multiple fields.
This time, it's been confirmed that Gun will hold a fan meeting in Japan! He has previously hosted fan meetings in areas popular with Thai tourists, such as Gifu, Fukushima, and Kagawa. For this event, the destination is the Nikko and Kinugawa area in Tochigi Prefecture. We had the opportunity to join him on his special fan meeting tour aboard the Tobu Railway's SPACIA X and conducted an exclusive interview.
Off to Nikko and Kinugawa Area on "SPACIA X"
In May, as the fresh green season arrived, the fan meeting tour took place over four days from May 16th to 20th, under beautiful, clear skies. The day before, Gun, along with his fans who traveled from Thailand, arrived at Tobu Asakusa Station, the departure point.
A commemorative photo was taken on the platform of SPACIA X! A banner from Tobu Railway saying, "Welcome to Japan, Gun!" was also prepared. It was Gun's first time visiting Tochigi and riding SPACIA X, and his excitement was clear from his expressions.
What is the SPACIA X Train, Which Gun Also Boarded?
SPACIA X is a limited express train that connects Tokyo with the Nikko and Kinugawa areas. It’s an upgraded version of the previously operated "SPACIA," and has been a hot topic since its debut. Featuring premium exterior and interior designs, all seats are reserved, and tickets go on sale at 9 a.m., one month before the travel date. On weekends and during Japanese holidays, it often sells out, so booking early is recommended.
One of SPACIA X's standout features is its six uniquely designed cars. Each car has its own theme, with distinct interior and seat designs.

Exclusive Interview: What Makes Japan Special to Gun Napat?
During our exclusive interview with Gun Napat aboard the SPACIA X, we asked him about his impressions of Japan, his favorite dishes, and more.
――Is this your first time visiting the Nikko area? What are you most excited about?
I’ve really been looking forward to traveling by train in Japan. For this trip, I’m especially curious about Tobu World Square, a theme park in Nikko. I’m also excited to experience the natural beauty of places like Lake Chuzenji, so I can’t wait to see it all.
――How are you finding the SPACIA X ride?
I’m amazed by how comfortable the train journey has been! The windows are so large that you get an incredible view no matter which side you look out from. I also love that there are different classes of seats within the same car—it's great that you can choose depending on your budget. I’ve been on many trains before, but this one feels the most high-tech and convenient.
――You’ve had a close connection with Japan since being named Gifu’s tourism ambassador in 2015. What would you recommend about Japan to other Asians?
It's hard to choose just one place because everywhere has something special to offer. I've visited places like Fukushima and Kagawa as well as Gifu, and no matter where I go, the people are always so welcoming and kind. For anyone planning to visit Japan, I’d say don’t just stick to big cities like Tokyo and Osaka—exploring smaller, regional cities will give you a more rewarding experience.
――Do you have a favorite Japanese dish?
I actually love a variety of Japanese dishes—sushi and tempura are great—but my personal favorite is grilled fish. The fish here is so fresh and delicious. I love how they season it simply with salt and grill it, which is a unique Japanese style of cooking. And, of course, I love wagyu beef—it’s truly amazing.
――What’s one of the most memorable experiences you’ve had at a Japanese tourist spot?
There are so many, but one that really stands out is ice fishing for wakasagi (smelt). I used to think ice fishing was something you could only do in Europe, but when I found out you could do it in Japan too, I had to try it. It was so much fun, and it's something I highly recommend to others from Asia, especially since you can’t do it in Thailand.
――Lastly, is there anywhere in Japan you’d like to visit in the future?
I haven’t had the chance to visit Kyushu yet, so I’d love to go to places like Fukuoka and Okinawa. I’ve heard the food in Kyushu has a different flavor, and it would be so much fun to compare it to other regions.
