Sanrio x Shiseido Parlour Collaboration! Limited Edition Langue de Chat Now Available

Shiseido Parlor Sanrio Collaboration

Shiseido Parlour has teamed up with six Sanrio characters—Hello Kitty, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Pochacco, Kuromi, and Pompompurin—to launch a limited edition Langue de Chat Blanc starting Sunday, 1st September 2024.

The design concept is “Sanrio Characters Join Shiseido Parlour’s Staff!?”

This special edition features packages adorned with Sanrio characters dressed in Shiseido Parlour uniforms. The designs reflect each character's hobbies, favourite foods, and dreams. Be sure to notice the Hanatsubaki Biscuit, Meat Croquette, and Ice Cream Soda illustrated alongside the characters—each representing iconic Shiseido Parlour menu items.

The lineup includes six varieties!

Hello Kitty shines as the shop leader at Shiseido Parlour. Her hobby is baking cookies. She is seen holding a tin of the iconic Hanatsubaki Biscuit while introducing the product to customers. The Hanatsubaki Biscuit, a beloved treat from the early Showa era, represents the essence of Shiseido Parlour. With its simple, comforting taste reminiscent of a mother’s homemade snacks, it has won the hearts of all generations.

"Langue de Chat Blanc My Melody"

My Melody dreams of becoming a confectioner. She is dressed in the Ginza flagship store uniform, handing out a treat-filled handy bag to a customer.

The handy bag, with its striking bright blue color and youthful yet bold stripes, was designed by Masayoshi Nakajo in 2015. Shiseido Parlour’s sweets embody not just a dedication to packaging and flavor but also the spirit of hospitality.

"Langue de Chat Blanc Cinnamoroll"

Cinnamoroll, who dreams of becoming a chef, is dressed in a chef’s coat, preparing Meat Croquettes. This dish has been a traditional menu item at Shiseido Parlour since 1931, made with great care, following the original recipe. The Meat Croquette features a smooth béchamel sauce and traditional tomato sauce, with a crispy outside and creamy inside—a perfect balance of textures. Don’t forget the finishing touch: lightly fried parsley.

"Langue de Chat Blanc Pochacco"

Pochacco serves customers at the Ginza Main Salon de Café, delivering Shiseido Parlour's famous "Ice Cream Soda".

Shiseido Parlour began in 1902 with a soda fountain set up inside the Shiseido Pharmacy. The Ice Cream Soda, a combination of Japan’s first “soda water” and the then-novel “ice cream,” has been one of Shiseido Parlour’s signature items since its inception.

"Langue de Chat Blanc Kuromi"

Kuromi handles service at the Ginza Main Restaurant, offering Shiseido Parlour’s classic Omurice along with her favorite pickled shallots and other side dishes. The Omurice—with its delicate, smooth texture reminiscent of flawless skin—is a highlight of Shiseido Parlour's menu. Originally a secret item created at a customer’s request, it has now become a beloved staple on the main menu.

"Langue de Chat Blanc Pompompurin"

Pompompurin works as a dessert chef at the Ginza Main Salon de Café, preparing Pudding à la Mode, which features his favorite pudding adorned with fruits and homemade ice cream. Shiseido Parlour’s Pudding à la Mode is a nostalgic treat, made with a slightly firm pudding and served with fresh fruits.
