【2024】The New Art Museum "Yokohama Trick Art Museum" Opens in Minato Mirai, Yokohama

The shopping mall "Yokohama World Porters" in the Yokohama Minato Mirai area has undergone a renewal in 2024, resulting in the emergence of new tourist attractions! Among them is the new trick art museum, "Yokohama Trick Art Museum" which opened on Thursday, July 11, 2024, inside Yokohama World Porters.

What is the 'Yokohama Trick Art Museum'?

The theme of the Yokohama Trick Art Museum is "A Journey Through Time". It expresses the past, present, and future through trick art, allowing visitors to enjoy a time-traveling journey while appreciating the artworks. With a total of 51 pieces, the museum showcases numerous new works and innovative tricks, offering visitors fresh surprises.

Visitors can experience illusions and become part of the artwork, creating a new type of art that amazes both adults and children. The photos taken here will become memorable keepsakes. Enjoy the latest trick art and immerse yourself in its charm.

Three Zones to Experience the Passage of Time!

To convey the theme of the passage of time, the museum's layout has been carefully designed. Spanning a total area of 528 square metres, the museum is divided into three main zones: the "European Stroll Zone", the "Jungle Adventure Zone", and the "Future Experience Zone".

The "European Stroll Zone", which represents the present, allows visitors to experience famous landmarks around the world and enjoy a travel-like experience. The "Jungle Adventure Zone", representing the past, involves exploring ruins in a lush jungle, facing various challenges, and escaping from a maze. The "Future Experience Zone", representing the future, features the latest works with new gimmicks, showcasing the future of trick art.

The "Guide" Leading the Time Travelers

To make the most of your visit, museum staff are on hand to explain the artworks and assist with photography. A character called the "Butler of Time", representing adventurous support from the staff, also makes an appearance. The concept of the facility is "A Journey Through Time and Space with Trick Art". The supporting characters, who guide the main characters – the visitors – enhance the atmosphere of the facility.
