Airport buses are convenient for getting from Narita International Airport and Haneda Airport to the Tokyo metropolitan area and the Kanto area!

Limousine buses departing and arriving at Narita International Airport and Haneda Airport

Traveling from Narita Airport or Haneda Airport to the center of Tokyo can be done by train (Keisei Electric Railway, Keihin Express Railway, Tokyo Monorail) or airport bus (such as limousine buses), depending on the departure and arrival points. However, for travel to areas outside the 23 wards or to the surrounding prefectures of Tokyo, the airport bus is usually the most convenient option.

The biggest advantage of this is that you can get to your destination without having to change trains multiple times while carrying your luggage. For example, if you're going to Chiba or Tokyo Disney Resort®, you'll need to change trains several times. To get to Yamanashi, Kawaguchiko Station, and Fujisan Station, you'll need to first travel to Tokyo and then change to a train or bus at each terminal station. On the other hand, if you use the airport bus, you can directly access these destinations.

However, some routes may have a limited number of services per day, so it's a good idea to check the best access to your destination according to your flight arrival time before you depart.

How to Buy Airport Bus Tickets at Narita International Airport and Haneda Airport

If you have not pre-purchased your airport bus ticket online, you can buy it at the limousine bus ticket counter in the arrival lobby, at each bus company's information office, or at an automatic ticket vending machine. However, even if the destination is the same, the arrival and departure terminals and boarding locations may vary depending on the operating company and route, so it is safe to check the official guide of the bus company before boarding.
