Kansai International Airport (KIX) is located in Izumisano City, Osaka Prefecture, and is known as the Gateway to the Skies in the Kansai region. The airport is widely used for passenger and cargo transportation from both domestic and international locations, and is equipped with modern and comprehensive facilities.
The airport offers a wide variety of facilities, such as restaurants, tourist information centers, and souvenir shops, making it easy for foreign tourists to come and visit. In addition, it also offers easy access to Osaka city, Kyoto, Kobe and other areas, not only by train, but also by limousine buses and high-speed boats.
This time, we will introduce the Kansai airport-exclusive souvenirs and rare souvenirs that we actually bought at Kansai International Airport.
Where is the best place to buy souvenirs at Kansai International Airport?
Although the area after departure inspection has been renewed, the first terminal of Kansai International Airport has been undergoing major renovation work since 2021, and due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, most of the souvenir shops in the area before security check were forced to close or suspend operations.
This caused "souvenir refugees" and was temporarily highlighted as a problem, but in fact, if you go a little further to Terminal 2, you can get a variety of Kansai souvenirs! There are also rare sweets that are only available at the airport, so why not stock up on souvenirs while you wait for your flight to depart?
