The city of Shinjuku continues to change constantly. One of these changes is a brand new Disney store, the largest in Japan in fact, "Disney FLAGSHIP TOKYO" which opened on December 5th, 2021. It's a short 3-minute walk from JR Shinjuku Station and can be found directly adjacent to entrance B6 of the Tokyo Metro Shinjuku Sanchome Station. If you're a fan of Disney it's a spot you can't afford to miss! Let's take a look at what the store's interior looks like.
About Disney FLAGSHIP TOKYO
With a concept of "Beyond the Imagination", it plunges visitors into a world of Disney, with many sights to see, products to buy, and designs to enjoy. The store has a total area of 1,710m², with a total of 3 floors split into Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, and even products from Disney Park & Resort.
Disney FLAGSHIP TOKYO's Entrance: Welcome Vision
At the entrance, you'll find a 440 inch LED screen "Welcome Vision" that greets visitors to the store! There are images of various things such as Disney, Pixar, and more.
Disney FLAGSHIP TOKYO Floor 1 / 2: Magical Digital Portal
Within the store, you'll find electronic billboards which are called "Magical Digital Portals". These will show impressive images from various Disney producs and characters such as Frozen and more!
Disney FLAGSHIP TOKYO Floor 2: Mickey Mouse Statue & Show Room
Once you reach floor 2, you'll see Disney Flagship Store Tokyo's symbol character Mickey Mouse's statue! This is the Mickey that appears in Disney's "Fantasia" film "The Sorcerer's Apprentice". Don't forget to take a picture to commemorate your visit!
Within the showroom which can be found on the same floor, you'll find seasonal events and popup events changing to fit the current theme, it's great to check out every time you're in the area.
Disney FLAGSHIP TOKYO Floor B1: The D-Made Lab
One centerpiece of this article we'll be showing is D-Made which can be found on floor B1. Here you're able to make and purchase some order-made products that previously were only purchasable on Disney's Online Store "shopDisney".
You're able to use the touch panels to choose your items and designs, it's extremely simple and allows you to make your own original product to purchase.
An Amazing Assortment - There Might be Exclusive Products Found Only Here!
You'll find products from Disney Park & Resort overseas, cosmetics, daily necessities, plushies, and more. There's even "UniBEARsity" which was closely managed by Naomi Watanabe! Just looking at the products is sure to make anyone excited.
You'll also, of course, find products from the Star Wars and Marvel series on floor B1.
There could be some Tokyo-specific products up for sale as well, so make sure to look around before leaving.
