We waited for about 20 minutes and it was our turn to get inside. We sat down on the seat that had iron plate in front of us and after we ordered the chef that stood behind the counter went to prepare our order and this was where the show began. At Fukutarou, the chef or the shop staff will be the one doing all the cooking so all you have to do is wait for your Okonomiyaki to be made for you. The chef began by scooping up the Okonomiyaki paste and put it onto the hot iron plate and he then drew with in a very thin circle base. Then he put on top roughly sliced cabbage and other ingredients such as dried shrimp and pickled ginger. After that was another scoop of the paste followed by 2 thick slices of pork and 1 egg and then he would flipped the Okonomiyaki and covered it with the dome-shape lit so that the Okonomiyaki can be grilled and steamed at the same time.
All these processes were to me and my older sister whom only had been eating either defrost Okonomiyaki or the type that the paste has all the ingredients mixed inside, so spectacular that we were immerse into watching and we forgot to take any picture until the chef splashed on top of the Okonomiyaki the sauce and mayonnaise and the most deliciously looking Okonomiyaki were there waiting for us.

The Okonomiyaki at Fukutarou had a very distinctive texture that was very soft compared to normal Okonomiyaki. With the ingredients being put on layers by the layers, this okonomiyaki still able to hold together all the balance and ended up in perfection and was a kind of taste that you will never be able to enjoy elsewhere.

After we have had a great time at Fukutarou, we were off for a long sightseeing walk at Dotonbori street. Winter time here in Japan made evening looked as though it was already night time. We took some photo at the famous Crab restaurant and decided to have dinner at the place but in the end me and my sister both came to the conclusion that when it comes to eating crab, nothing will ever beat eating it dipped in the delicious Thai spicy seafood sauce. So Fukutarou had all my heart here for this trip and I guessed it would mean to me several more eating experience at their branch at Tokyo Sola Machi after I got back to Tokyo.
