The biggest and most famous festival in Hokkaido is “Sapporo Snow festival”.
There is another beautiful festival called “Snow light path festival” is a winter festival held every year. That is also why winter is the best season to visit Hokkaido. It starts 4th January until 4th March.
Snow light path festival in Nakajima is very close from Nakajima park (Nakajima Koen) Number 3 exit. When you arrive outside of station feel like the whole park is a mysterious fantasy dream and wonder land. The street is lit up with many candles and snow with handmade ice art objects. There was special Japanese garden and observatory were very popular last year, people were queuing for observatory.
You can also light up yourself with cup you writhe your dream on the snow light mountain. Amazingly the snow piled up to 90 centimeters for the first time in 50 years last year. I think you know the snow in Hokkaido is the best in Japan.
