When you like to go climbing..

We went to Akita from Tokyo by Shinkansen.
Akita is in the Tohoku region of Japan. It takes four hours to get to Akita from Tokyo, and six and a half hours from Osaka. The Shinkansen costs a lot at 20,000 to 30,000 yen, but if you want to save money, you can take the bus. It only costs 6,000 to 10,000 yen, half of the price of Shinkansen, but the journey is very long, taking about 10 hours.

On arriving at Akita Station, we visited Mt. Chokaisan in Nikaho City. It takes around 2 hours by train from Akita Station to get to Mt. Chokaisan. We climbed to the summit there. The view we could see from the summit was of beautiful, green mountains. I was so moved, I nearly cried.

Then, on the second day, we went to see a waterfall called Mototaki Fukuryusui. This waterfall was surrounded by trees and you can savor the incredible beauty of nature. We also powered-up by soaking up lots of minus ions.
It was summer when we visited Akita but it was cool and not hot at all. If you like cold places, we recommend visiting Akita in autumn.
Lastly, we just climbed a mountain and went to see a waterfall here, so we didn’t use much money, but we had a great time.
