The new Tokyo DisneySea® attraction, Nemo & Friends SeaRider,
Themed to the world of the DisneyPixar films Finding Nemo and Finding Dory, this indoor attraction at Port Discovery will immerse Guests in the undersea world of these popular films by using a ride system that seamlessly blends glorious new visuals with a dynamic motion system.
Boarding the SeaRider, a submersible that “shrinks” to the size of a fish, Guests will explore the wondrous world of marine life from the same point of view as Nemo and Dory. In addition to these characters, Guests have a chance to meet many of the popular characters from Finding Dory, such as Destiny, the whale shark, and Hank, the octopus.
To bring this attraction to life, the Pixar Animation Studios production artists of Finding Dory created unique, beautiful underwater scenery populated with their beloved characters. Guests will truly enjoy an experience that no one has seen before.

Background Story for Nemo & Friends SeaRider
Port Discovery’s major tenant is the Marine Life Institute. Dedicated to the study of sea life while inspiring Guests to care about the oceans, the MLI is the home of the Nemo & Friends SeaRider attraction. Here Guests learn that scientists at the MLI have created a special new material called chiziminium, which shrinks when electricity is applied. The advanced SeaRider undersea exploratory vehicle is made of this material. SeaRider—which resembles a fish—is safely shrunk to the size of fish with everyone in it. Art-i-FISH-al Intelligence allows SeaRider to operate autonomously, without a pilot, to follow real fish while behaving as one. When SeaRider is dropped into the ocean and shrunk, it meets Nemo, Dory and the others and begins interacting with them, taking Guests on fun, exciting, and occasionally thrilling adventures in the open ocean.
