Akarenga terrace
Above picture is the former government house. Shopping terrace is the building facilitated on the back side. This building has a plurality of stories from basement first to fourth floor, and on fifth floor, there is ‘overlook terrace’ from where you can view the red brick former government office building. Sapporo Factory
Sapporo Factory, is also big shopping mall, but unlike other malls, this building has elegance atmosphere, because the building was once used as a beer factory. The building is 4 stories tall and with an open ceiling area. You can enjoy shopping at various stores, general goods store, fancy cafes, outdoor stores. Of course, they do serve beer here!
From November to the end of December, lighted Christmas tree are put up at the center of open ceiling space. Since many events take place, here is always crowded with visitors.

Shiroi Koibito Park （White Lover Park）

You should definitely visit this place when you buy souvenir in Hokkaido! The most famous souvenir, chocolate snack “Shiroi Koibito” is made here.
I guess here is the most enjoyable factory in Japan, you can take factory tours, visit exhibitions about antique cups and history of chocolate. Moreover, there are beautiful rose garden, parade of mechanical dolls. You’ll never get tired of gazing at the ingenious mechanisms set up in this park
