About the Tombori River Cruise
The Dotonbori River is a river located in the southern side of Osaka in the Dotonbori area. There are many landmarks placed alongside this river, so you can enjoy the guided cruise as if you were walking down the street.
The Tombori River Cruise has Osaka guides onboard, and departs from the Tazaemon-bashi Pier, heads towards Nippon-bashi and Ukiniwa-bashi, before returning to Tazaemon-bashi. It goes through Ebisu-bashi and Dotonbori-bashi, so there are many great spots including the famous signboards where you can take great pictures from the boat. The required time for the cruise is 20 minutes. The cruises start from 13:00 and run until 21:00 meaning you can even experience the views at night.
How to Enjoy the Tombori River Cruise
The Tombori River Cruise operates every single day. The required time for the cruise is 20 minutes, and the boat itself departs every 30 minutes.
The usual boat that is used is the "DOTON", however, on weekends and days where there are many customers, other boats may be used.
The reception for the cruise is located on the north bank of the "Tombori Riverwalk" on the first floor of the "Don Quijote Dotonbori", the place where you get onto the boat is located just in front of that at the "Tazaemon-bashi Bridge."
If you are planning to come with large numbers (10-70 people) then you are able to make reservations. Reservations can be made up to 3 months in advance. Depending on the number of people, the boat that is used during the cruise may change.
Caution: Service may be suspended due to bad weather, sea creatures, or tide levels. Depending on the situation, different boats may be used for operation. The boat does not have a roof, if it is raining, you are able to bring a raincoat, but there may not be a service where we can hold onto your goods for you. Please do not use an umbrella during the cruise.
