And finally good news for the Muslims resides/travels in Japan! In the beginning of August, first hotel for Muslim visitors are opened just at the foot of Mt. Fuji and you can have a safe trip around the area without stressing out about whether you will have an access to halal meal and prayer spaces.

Syariah Hotel Fujisan is a hotel located in a town of Fujikawaguchiko, Yamanashi Prefecture. The hotel is located at the foot of one of the most favored destination among the tourists, Mt. Fuji and the beautiful Lake Kawaguchi. From the hotel, you can see the marvelous view of Mt. Fuji over the Lake Kawaguchi.

The hotel has been opened because there is a demand from increasing number of Muslim tourists in Japan in recent years. In Japan, gradually it became a topic to talk about how it is necessary to have a cultural understanding to the Muslim visitors in the country. The hotel is owned by Shigeru Yamashita who own several hotels around the area. According to the Japan Time, he commented that he had renovated the vacant house and made it into a hotel for Muslims, as an increasing number of tourists to the area are coming from Indonesia and Malaysia.

The meal is served in Halal without using any pork or alcohol but using halal meats and other certified ingredients with care. You can enjoy the traditional Japanese dishes on your stay here.

Other thing is they have a prayer room prepared. In addition, prayer mats are also available for free and in each room, they have an arrow pointing out the direction of Mecca. So you can practice your praying moment with ease during your stay here.

In addition to those, they support their Muslim guests even during the time of Ramadan and serve breakfast and dinner before dawn and after sunset so that you can enjoy the trip even during those period.
