Launching the Halloween event at Tokyo Disney Resort® with delicious gourmet and attractive shows that cannot be missed

The special event “Disney Halloween” will be held at Tokyo Disneyland® for 52 days from Tuesday, September 10 through Thursday, October 31, 2019. During the event period, the Tokyo Disneysea® and Tokyo Disneyland® parks will be decorated with Halloween themes. In addition, more than 60 different types of Halloween-themed limited-edition merchandises will be on sale, which enables guests to fully enjoy a happy Halloween.

“Dark and Mysterious Halloween Festival” at Tokyo Disneysea®

This year, Tokyo Disneysea® takes on the theme of “Dark and Mysterious Halloween Festival”. Right from the entrance, you can clearly feel the extremely mysterious and sparkling Halloween atmosphere. The Mediterranean Harbor, American Waterfront and many other areas are also brightly decorated with Halloween themes. The scenery of Mediterranean Harbor is filled with Halloween atmosphere thanks to the harmonious combination of dark tones. Photo locations will also be set up in the Waterfront Park of American Waterfront which can attract guests to the Halloween festival where dark powers creep up.

Start a new show named as “ Festival of Mystique” at the Mediterranean Harbor

What will happen to the interesting Tokyo Disneysea® where dark powers creep up? The main content of “Festival of Mystique” is the story of sea witches who devise a plan to bring back the wicked king of the sea by disguising herself as a beautiful girl, participating in Porto Paradiso's Halloween Festival, tricking Mickey Mouse and Disney Friends, and getting involved in the festival. Can Mickey Mouse and Disney Friends stop the resurrection of the wicked king? Let’s go to Tokyo Disneysea® and enjoy the last ending with your own eyes.

Welcome to Tokyo Disneyland® which is dominated by the Ghost

The theme of Tokyo Disneyland® is also “Ghost version of Tokyo Disneyland”. When entering the park, guests are welcomed into a Halloween world of chills and thrills. In addition, from Monday, September 9, 2019 to Sunday, January 5, 2020, a limited-time special event called “Haunted Mansion Holiday Nightmare” will be held at the Haunted Mansion. During that time, the Haunted Mansion will be decorated with special concepts and attract guests to the world of “Nightmare before Christmas”

 “Spooky “Boo!” Parade”

In this “Spooky “Boo!” Parade”, a series of floats which become much stranger and more attractive with an eerie transformation will get into the venue one after another. Various floats such as a Western River Railroad locomotive operated by a skeleton, jack-o’-lanterns featuring the ghosts in “Critter Country”, as well as “Cinderella Castle” with full of tombs will appear in front of guests. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will be dressed in new colorful costumes and enjoy the sumptuous feast with all the guests coming to the park.

Special merchandises that can only be purchased at Halloween event 

During the event period, Tokyo Disneysea® and Tokyo Disneyland® not only sell plush badges with a motif of Disney Friends wearing Halloween costumes, but also special merchandises that are common to the two parks. At Tokyo Disneysea®, guests can purchase items such as dark and mysterious cloaks designed with the “Festival of Mystique” motif, black lace gloves with a spider web pattern and other items with dark colors which bring out the Halloween atmosphere. At Tokyo Disneyland®, they can purchase headbands like a ghostly bridal veil with fluffy tulle which are different with ordinary headbands, already went viral before officially being on sale.

At Tokyo Disneyland®, plush badges with motifs themed to “Spooky ‘Boo!’ Parade”, a set of CHIP ‘n’ DALE are being sold at 2,900 yen, plush badges of other characters are being sold at 1,900 yen/ each item.

Don’t miss the Halloween – limited gourmet

During the Halloween special event, Tokyo Disney Resort® also offers related menus which can enable guests to even enjoy Halloween atmosphere. Halloween version of the popular “Gummy Candy with Mini Snack Case” is also available at 850 yen each.

Tokyo Disneysea® will offer "Special Ukiwah Bun (Teriyaki Chicken) at 600 yen each. The purple outer shell is cleverly decorated into a bat-shaped pattern, filled with Teriyaki chicken inside. “Special Bun (Chicken & Vegetable) which looks like a ghost dressed as a mummy will also be sold at 600 yen each. Moreover, a “Pumpkin Cheese Bread” with the surprised face of Minnie Mouse which is being sold at the Disney Ambassador Hotel at 1,000 yen each is also very cute.
