With Yokohama Landmark Tower standing in the middle, Yokohama Minato Mirai 21 is known for its illuminations and beautiful architecture. It is historically significant as well, with cultural properties like the Dock Yard Garden and the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse. 2. Yokohama Marine Tower

Yokohama Marine Tower is the lighthouse and the symbol of Yokohama port, built in 1959 as the monument to celebrate the harbor’s 100th anniversary. Standing 106 meters tall, it used to be listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest lighthouse in the world. The tower was renovated in 2009 and currently a popular spot amongst couples that look for a romantic place to spend their time.

As one of the first cities to open port, Yokohama is known to be one of the most diverse cities in Japan. Naturally, it is home to the biggest Chinatown in Japan along with Nagasaki and Kobe.
The town has a history of 150 years with more than 6000 Chinese people living on for generations. The oriental atmosphere in the district makes it a popular tourist destination.
4. Yokohama Bay Bridge

Yokohama Bay Bridge connects Yokohama and Tokyo Bay. Completed in 1989, the 860 m long bridge has been a popular spot for photographers, professional and amateur. The water body, horizon, and the sunset makes it a perfect composition for any cameraman, as well as at night when the bridge lights up with colorful neons.
5. Sankei-en

Sankei-en is named as the nation’s Important Cultural Property for its historical and cultural significance in preserving the culture of tea ceremonies, as well as storing multiple Buddhist artworks. The garden was built in 1906 by an entrepreneur and tea master, Hara Tomitaro, and it is one of the few places in Yokohama that inherits Japanese traditional scenery.
