When I was going back to my home country, I was thinking what kind of お土産(おみやげ)souvenir  I should bring home.
Then in Haneda Airport, Tokyo, I found a small corner that says JAPAN HALAL Souvenir.

When we speak about Japan, most of the Japanese are Shinto or Buddhist about 90%.
But, there are still Halal (Mark) in some products here.

Japanese understanding HALAL, like the writing above says that HALAL is a food which uses permitted raw materials for the Muslims.
So when there is a HALAL mark on it, it means that it is safe for the muslims.
If there is no HALAL (Mark) on the product it means it’s not HALAL and muslims are not allowed to eat it.

Usually the products include pork in it.

Because of the HALAL (Mark) noted in the product, I can easily buy souvenirs for my friends in Indonesia. :)

P.S For people who like Kitkat Greentea, I have to remind you that it is NOT HALAL because there is alcohol inside it.

Next time you want to buy HALAL food in Japan, you can find it in the airport, no worries :)
