March 14th is White Day!

The 14th of February and March is a very special day to share love in Japan.

If on Valentine’s Day a woman gives a chocolate to a man to share love, 1 month later, it’s time for the man to give chocolates to the woman they love. 
Sometimes they give dolls and flowers too or any other special things. 
Fair enough right ? :)

And usually March 14th is a day to reply to their loved one’s, if on Valentines a woman gave a ‘honmei choco’ to a man, he should respond to her love by giving chocolates or any special gift to that particular woman.



And that Day is called ‘White Day’

Now, speaking of White Day, do you guys know where this day comes from?
As you can guess, White Day comes from Japan!

It all started in 1980.
White Day celebrations originated from corporate strategies by Japanese candy manufacturers who want to increase sales of candy. 
And candy’s raw material is sugar, which is white in colour and that’s why it is called ‘White Day’.
 

Other countries that celebrate White Day are South Korea, Taiwan, HongKong.
