Furoshiki is a Japanese traditional wrapping cloth.
It can be used for anything, such as a grocery shopping bag, to wrap clothes, gifts, lunch box, or to simply decor.Literally anything.
No matter what size or shape.
It is similar to Origami folding techniques.
There are a wide variety sizes and designs you can choose from depends on price.
Currently Furoshiki are made of different fabrics, including silk, cotton, rayon and nylon.
Unlike normal wrapping paper which cannot be recycled, furoshiki can be used over and over.
It is not just for the looks, but also eco-friendly.
I want to show you some examples of wrapping techniques to make the gift look attractive.
Here is a basic and easiest way wrap an item.
All you need to do is to place an item in the center, and tie corners into a square knot.
Tuck the other corners underneath the item.
Done in 30 seconds.
In this case, I wrapped a laptop.
Next is a one of the way to wrap a bottle.
If you were invited to a house party and wanted to take a bottle of wine or something with you, this will be the perfect way to bring it.
It looks so much better than wrapped with wrapping paper.
Don’t you think?
You can wrap and also make it into like a handbag.
Easy to hold with a handle, and you don’t even have to worry about ripping when its too heavy or wet.
Wrapping gifts with furoshiki makes it look so much more attractive.
Not only that, you can feel the warmth from it.
As I am writing about Furoshiki, I fall in love with this more and more.
