Mikado Coffee is one of the oldest coffee shop chain from Japan which started in 1948!
It was originally a coffee beans shop which became a place to drink after.The original shop is still there in Nihombashi in Tokyo and I possible to drink delicious coffee and taste their trademark ice-cream : mocha soft ice cream.

The original location of Mikado in Nihombashi is still open but has been reformed from the old beans shop to a coffee shop which can welcome many people.
It mainly serves coffee and still sells coffee beans as well.
Now you can also have some cakes, cookies, pancakes, sandwiches and pasta.
The trademark sweet of the shop is moka soft ice-cream.
The color is very light and the taste of coffee is very subtle.
More than a coffee tasted ice, it’s much more like a milk ice-cream with a hint of coffee.
The ice is served with a dry prune which has been soaked in syrup.
(Syrup might contain some alcohol for the flavor, if you can’t drink alcohol, ask to remove it.)
The prune in syrup are a also a popular item you can buy in a jar.
I could go in Mikado without tasting coffee actually.
I chose the Mikado blend with was a delicious arrange with a hint of acidity.
