Today, we will introduce a word “Hajimemashite (はじめまして)”.
This word is a common Japanese greeting and is used when introducing yourself at the first time.
As we mentioned above, “Hajimemashite” is the greeting used the first time meeting someone. The word is a shortened form of a phrase “Hajimete ome ni kakari masu (はじめてお目にかかります)”
In Japan, we commonly start introducing ourselves with “Hajimamashite” first.
