Today I will introduce you to Japanese word Onegai-shimasu (お願いします) to introduce for today.

In Japanese, “please” is called onegai-shimasu (お願いします)

If we analyze the root of this word, negau (願う) is a verb, which means to hope. The deeper meaning is to pray so that God with his kindness will fulfill ones desire. Negai (願い) is a noun, which means hope. By attaching O () in front of the word, it will become an honorific expression. to be respected. In other words, Onegai-shimasu (お願いします) is expression used when you ask for ones help/favor.

When you request someone to do something for you, use this word to convey feeling of gratitude and politeness as Japanese people use this word in many situations every day.
