Now the rainy season is over in Tokyo, hot and toasty summer has begun.

The temperature goes over 30 celsius every day, and you can hear cicadas singing outside.
It sounds like typical Japanese kind of summer. That’s the time I start craving for delicious ice cream. “OUCA” is a cute little ice cream shop located in Ebisu, Tokyo. It is always packed with families and teenage girls.

You get to choose 3 different flavors from their freshly homemade ice creams.
The options they have in a showcase looked all delicious and took me long time to decide which one to get.
They have all kinds of flavors include milk, pumpkin, tomato, peach, watermelon, green tea and etc.

Finally I made my mind to get green tea, peach, and sakura-azuki (cherry blossom flavored sweet beans).
There were a few seats inside the store to eat in.
As soon as I had a first bite of green tea ice cream, I was surprised how rich it was. So creamy and cozy. Bitter and not too sweet, just like how I like it. Perfect.
What I found unique was that every cup of ice cream is served with salted kombu to refresh the taste of each ice cream. I know it is hard to imagine how it taste like to eat kombu and ice cream together, but actually they were great together!

You can also help yourself to a cup of cold roasted green tea from Kyoto.
Ice cream and cold tea. These were what I needed in hot summer!
