Here is a newcomer in the Dorayaki Quest!

A little bit different for a traditional Dorayaki, those Mochi Mochi Cream Dorayaki are made with sticky rice flour and filled with whipped cream!

Let’s have a look!
Since Mochi Mochi Cream Dorayaki are made with sticky rice flour, the pancakes don’t rise that much when baked and they are slim and chewy.
The Dorayaki is oval-shaped, a little bit different from traditional dorayaki which are generally round.

Instead of being filled with red bean paste, these dorayaki are filled with flavored whipped cream.
Vanilla, cream-choco chip, strawberry or other flavours are available.

I chose something more “Japanese”: matcha green tea flavored whipped cream with some red beans inside.
It was delicious and refreshing.
Since there’s whipped cream inside, these dorayaki have to be eaten within 2 days and stored in the fridge.
They are available on some stalls in stations, I found these ones in Shimbashi station in Tokyo.

Have you ever tried whipped cream dorayaki?
